I enjoyed Dr. Schaeffer's work on Christian and non-Christian thought in the political and moral realm. One major point to know is that this is a very quick read and is not heavy. With that said, do not expect him to expound in great detail each view and argument. He makes stronger cases in How Then Shall We Live? Despite the small nature, this book is like the prime rib. Francis knows how to make his point quickly and logically.Each chapter in this book follows from the preceding. He has no problem showing the philosophical problems of the materialist world view and how it compares to the Christian world view. This book contains a bit of history, morality, and call to action for Christians to be salt and light in a fading world. I see this book as a being a resource of continued relevance for ages to come.
